Function Charging

Can I tell how much charge is left on the battery on the PS-100?

  • You can check in the app when connected to the smartphone.
This can be checked by tapping settings (spanner mark) > device settings.
  • When the battery runs low, the device will vibrate briefly and the orange LED will light up for 4 seconds.
     * The device will only vibrate on the first warning.
If you continue to measure your pulse rate after this warning, the device will enter shutdown mode after about 1 hour, disabling all functions.
Before entering shutdown mode, the orange LED will flash 15 times for 1 second each time.

I cannot correctly set the PS-100 in its cradle.

  • With the cradle in your left hand and the device in your right:
    1. With the “Epson” logo on the cradle on the left and the “Epson” logo on the device on the right, the logos should face each other
    2. Insert the device into the cradle diagonally starting with the side without a logo
Please align the position of the stamped triangular mark on the right side of the cradle with the groove on the right side of the device
    3. While pushing the device diagonally, lower the right side until it is set

How do I read the battery icon on the PS-500 so I know about how long I have left until I need to recharge?

  • Although this may vary depending on actual usage, the remaining battery life is estimated to be:
    Full battery: 20-36 hours.
    2 bars: 12-20 hours.
    1 bar: 3-12 hours.
    0 bars: 0-3 hours.

I set the PS-500 on the cradle to charge the device, but it is not showing the charging screen.

  • Please wipe clean the charging contact points and place the device in the cradle again.
If this does not solve the problem, please contact the service centre.

The blue LED on my Pulsense device indicates a full charge, but the PULSENSE View app does not indicate the same. What should I do?

Try the following:

  • Refresh the PULSENSE View battery level screen. To refresh the screen, change to a different screen in the app, then return to the battery level screen.
  • Make sure the charging terminals on your Pulsense device are clean. You can clean them with a damp cotton swab, but make sure the terminals are not wet before you place your device into its charging cradle. If that does not help, contact Epson support.

How long does it take to charge the Pulsense device?

  • It takes approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours for the PS-500 and 1.5 to 2.5 hours for the PS-100.
Note: The charging time will depend on whether any charge is left in the battery when you start charging.

How long will the device last on a full charge if used continuously?

  • The device is estimated to provide measurements for approximately 36 hours, however this may vary depending on actual usage.

The battery icon on the app showed that there were 2 bars left, but the battery suddenly died.

  • After checking the remaining battery screen, if you do not move to another screen, or if you use other apps without closing the device's app then go back to the device's app, the screen will not be updated.
As the screen has not been updated, the battery life displayed on this screen may be different to the actual battery life.
After checking the battery life, please move to another screen.
