If sleep data is not registered properly

  • To determining the depth of sleep, use as the lowest pulse rate during sleep.
    At the start of device use, a general value is used and it may not match the real feeling, but a stable sleep determination will be possible after about two weeks of use during sleep.
    Sleep with a fever or after alcohol consumption causes higher pulse rate, and sleep determination may become difficult.

  • The zone value in the device does not display every zone value; instead, it only displays the fat burning zone

How do you set up sleep mode?

  • No specific sleep mode setting operation is necessary.
    When you go to sleep during measurement, it performs the determination automatically based on body motion and pulse rate.
  • When sleep determination is unsuccessful, use the app's “Sleep setting”.
    Sleep determination can be supported by setting up bedtime and waking time.
     * Please note that sleep outside of the set time is determined as “Relax”.

How is sleep time displayed in the app calculated?

  • Sleep time
    ①Sleep from June 30th 21:00 to July 1st 5:00
    ②Sleep from July 1st 21:00 to July 2nd 7:00

    ① will record 8 hours of sleep for July 1st
    ② will record 10 hours of sleep for July 2nd
    The 8 hours from ① were not calculated by adding the 5 hours from 0:00 to 5:00 of July 1st and the 3 hours from Juy 1st 21:00 to July 2nd 0:00
  • If sleep settings are used
    Sleep settings: 21:00 to 5:00
    ①Sleep from June 30th 21:00 to July 1st 5:00
    ②Sleep from July 1st 21:00 to July 2nd 7:00
    ③Sleep from July 2nd 20:00 to July 3rd 7:00

    ① will record 8 hours of sleep for July 1st
    ② will record 10 hours of sleep for July 2nd
    ③ will record 11 hours of sleep for July 3rd
    However, if sleep is not continuous, sleep outside of sleep settings will be recorded as relaxing

Times without sleep are recorded as sleep

  • Following conditions may be determined as sleep when not sleeping

    1. Resting state with little body motion for a long time
    2. Resting state while reading a book before bed, etc.
    3. Resting state while reading a book after waking up, etc.
  • If the device has not been used for long enough, the device may misjudge due to insufficient learning.
    Accuracy will improve through learning with more use.
    Learning will also improve when worn during sleep.
  • If there is no difference in pulse rate when relaxing and sleeping (due to body characteristics), the device may detect this as sleep.

Time after waking is recorded as sleep

  • When there is activity after 5 minutes from waking (acceleration is read by the device), the device will detect as out of bed (10 minutes when sleep time is set)
  • The device can interpret as sleep if a relaxed state, such as reading, continues.

The device will not detect sleep

  • If there is no difference in pulse rate when relaxing and sleeping (due to body characteristics or drinking), the device may struggle to differentiate.
    If sleeping and waking times are routine, you can help detection by setting sleep and wake times through the app's “Sleep Settings”.
  • When “Sleep Settings” is used, sleep outside of set times will not be recorded as sleep.
    Instead it will detect as relaxed.
  • When sleep times are short (less than one hour), such as in an afternoon nap, the device will not detect sleep.
    Instead it will detect this as relaxed.

How do you set up exercise mode?

  • There is no real set-up required for exercise mode.
    The device will automatically detect activity during measurement.

How does the device detect exercise, excite, relax, etc.?

  • Determination is performed from pulse rate and user's behaviour (exercise or resting state is determined by acceleration sensor).
    Therefore, determination cannot be performed when pulse rate is not measured

It feels like activity detection is inaccurate (Fall asleep/Mind)

  • Detection is based on relaxed pulse rates.
    Since the device initially uses values based on the user's age, first-time use is not very accurate, but with more use, accuracy increases with learning.
    Learning will also improve when worn during sleep.
  • Although accuracy will increase when worn during sleep, it will decrease with drinking.
  • When pulse rates are high, such as in sleep after drinking, the device may not detect sleep.
  • When sleep determination is unsuccessful, use the app's “Sleep setting”.
    Sleep determination can be supported by setting up bedtime and waking time.
     * Please note that sleep outside of the set time is determined as “Relax”

Can I set a different range for my fat burning zone?

  • No. The zone is automatically calculated; it’s based on your profile (age) and resting pulse rate.
  • Relaxed pulse rates are updated as pulse rates during sleep are measured, so the lower bound of the zone is automatically updated.

Exercise on the exercise bike is detected as “excite”

  • Fixed acceleration such as arm swing needs to be entered in the device in order to determine the exercise state.
    Exercise with no arm swing such as exercise bike is not determined as an exercise, since acceleration is not entered in the device.
    Therefore, it is determined as “Excite”.

Sleep in the car (train) is not recorded as sleep

  • When sleep settings are set in the app, times outside of the set times are detected as relaxed.
  • Sleep during movement such as being inside cars or trains may not be detected as sleep due to the movement.
